R&Breathe Inner Romance Playlist

I’m a lover-girl. Especially when the person I am loving on is myself. I have become intentional —some might call it obsessive — about it.

But I’ll be honest and say that this hasn’t always been the case. There have been times in my life where I have been so full of someone else there wasn’t that much room for myself.

I was pouring into people who couldn’t even hold me properly. Meanwhile, I was out here leaking energy like a faulty tap until the incessant drip drove me insane.

My biggest heartbreaks didn’t really come from a man. They were the result of me betraying, neglecting and abandoning myself. And that kind of pain hits differently. It lingers, echoes and crumbles you.

Thankfully, there was a time my spine was no longer made of jelly and I grew a backbone (yay!)

I started watering myself, speaking to myself differently and putting myself back in the light until I began to bloom. And I realised something really quickly: if I don’t keep choosing myself, I would wilt again.

So now I romance myself on purpose. One of my favourite rituals is dedicating love songs to myself and they hit so deeply and i want to gift that practice to you.

This week’s session was about affirmation instead of defamation when it comes to how we speak on ourselves.

When you start singing “you’re everything I need” or “you are beautiful” or “you’re the woman of my dreams”, it lands in your chest. It does something to your spirit. It re-wires you.

This playlist will allow you to experience everything we did in session, whenever you need to.
